In general, leather is widely accepted, chewing it encourages salivation with the benefits for the horse and when moistened, it fits perfectly to the mouth.
Before each use it is recommended to moisten it slightly with water.
After use it is advisable to dry it so that the remains of dried saliva do not corrupt the material.
When you consider that the leather is dry, soak it in oil to keep it in good condition.
